This Ayurveda treatment is a full body massage using special medicated strokes. This massage improves blood circulation, tones the muscles and reduces body pain and stiffness of the muscles and joints.

  • Pizhichil (Oil Bath): This is the most elaborate Ayurveda massage and therapy that helps the body in multiple ways. The massage involves squeezing a cloth, dipped in warm medicated oils and is followed by a synchronized massage by two therapists.   • Pichu: Pichu is a special treatment, whereby a pad of cotton soaked in medicated oils is placed on painful body parts. Pichu helps to treat acute backaches, relieves muscle spasms and acute inflammations.
  • Thalapothichil: This is a traditional treatment during which a specifically formulated herbal paste is applied to the head, covered by plantain leaves onto which warm medicated oil is poured. Thalapothichil is effective in treating severe stress, insomnia, hair loss and psychosomatic diseases.
  • Netratarpanam: Netratarpanam is an ayurveda treatment for the eyes. Medicated ghee is placed for some time on both eyes, held by a boundary of black gram paste around the eyes.
